On the Road Again

Well we're off.

A last minute call by the dentist changed my checkup from Monday to last week and freed us up to hit the road and take a couple extra days getting out to Colorado.  It means we can do 8 hr days rather than 11 hour days...  Sweet!

Saturday we hit the road around 3pm or so and drove 3 1/2hrs to Jordan Lake State Park near Raleigh.  We drove thru a couple of big thunderstorms, and stopped for a bucket of Fried Chicken on the way.

We spent a quiet night at Jordan Lake and got back on the road at 8:15am headed towards our next stop just east of Nashville, Tn.

Here is a shot of our campsite in Jordan Lake.

T-Minus 8 and Counting

Testing 1, 2. 3.

Well a week from Monday we are on the road.  Today is just a post to let you see what the emails will look like when we post to the blog.   Remember to send us a shout out or comment from time to time on the blog.  It's nice to know that our blog readers are out there.

We had a couple of last minute problems.   The campers dining room slide-out decided with 2 weeks to go to stop working and it was a real rush to find someone who could take a look.  All is better now and I know how to deal with it should it be a problem in the future so we are good to go.
